A total of 10 West Virginia University School of Nursing alumni have been nominated for The Future of Nursing WV Action Coalition's 2022 Nurse Excellence Award.
The Future of Nursing WV (FONWV) is an action coalition comprised of a diverse array of stakeholders charged with transforming health care. Their vision is for everyone in WV to live a healthier life, advanced by equity-minded nurses as essential and valued partners in the care delivery system.
In all, 40 nurses have been nominated by their peers for the prestigious award, which recognizes excellence in nursing practice, leadership, education, and service. Each nurse nominee, in his or her own unique way, exemplify the mission of the FONWV, and are thus building a culture of health in WV.
Ten finalists will be bestowed with the FONWV Nurse Excellence Award at the annual fund-raising Gala set for Sept. 24 at the Embassy Suites in Charleston.
