The WVU School of Nursing will host an in-person open house at the Bridgeport Campus on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center (UHC).
During the event, attendees can learn about the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program, tour the campus at UHC, meet faculty and current students in the program, and learn more about academic requirements and the application process.
The ABSN program is an 18-month program for current bachelor's degree holders who want to become a registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing. Both cohorts of graduates at the Bridgeport Campus, including the Classes of 2024 and 2025, have earned 100% first-time pass rates on their NCLEX-RN licensure exams.
Applications are now open for January 2027, so prospective students are encouraged to attend the open house to see if the Bridgeport Campus is a good fit.
