WVU administers first doses of COVID-19 vaccine
WVU began vaccinating eligible employees on Dec. 30 based on state guidelines developed by the West Virginia Joint Interagency Task Force. As part of Phase 1-D, higher education employees over the age of 65 received priority for these first waves of vaccines, followed by those aged 50 and older. WVU Medicine is vaccinating healthcare providers and hospital staff as part of phases 1-A and 1-C.
WVU mourns loss of longtime pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Bill Neal
William A. Neal, MD, who earned his medical degree at West Virginia University in 1966 and enjoyed an instrumental career in pediatric medicine, died Fri., Jan 1 at home in Morgantown.
