MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — The Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma at the WVU School of Nursing is proud to announce Robin Elkins, Florentine “Devi” Gnimavo and Alexis Martinez as recipients of the 2026 Alpha Rho Research Grant.
The recipients were selected for research proposals that support Alpha Rho’s commitment to advancing the nursing profession through research. Their selection recognizes their dedication to scholarly inquiry and their efforts to contribute to the continued growth of nursing knowledge and practice.
Each approved grant provides funding to support the recipients’ proposed research and further their work within the nursing profession. Through the 2026 Research Grant, Alpha Rho continues its commitment to encouraging nurses to pursue research that can strengthen nursing practice and contribute to improved outcomes within health care.
The recipients were recognized last semester during the 2026 Sigma Alpha Rho Biennial Research Conference.
The Alpha Rho Research Grant provides an opportunity to recognize and support nurses who demonstrate a commitment to research and the advancement of the profession. This year’s recipients exemplify that commitment through their pursuit of research and continued contributions to nursing scholarship.
