Office of Community Engagement welcomes AmeriCorp VISTA member Zack Hostutler
The WVU School of Nursing Office of Community Engagement is pleased to announce the appointment of Zack Hostutler as its newest AmeriCorps VISTA member. Hostutler will serve a one-year term focused on building capacity for community-engaged projects in partnership with the WVU School of Nursing.
WVU School of Nursing ranks as No. 1 nursing school in West Virginia for 2026
The WVU School of Nursing has secured three of the top five best nursing school rankings in West Virginia for 2026 from RegisteredNursing.org for its three campuses offering the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The Morgantown location received the No. 1 ranking, followed directly by the school’s Beckley Campus, located at WVU Tech. The Keyser Campus, located at WVU Potomac State College, received the No. 5 ranking.
Dr. Susan Newfield recognized for 35 years at WVU School of Nursing
The School of Nursing is recognizing Dr. Susan Newfield, PhD, APRN, PMHCNS-BC, for her 35-year tenure in nursing education at West Virginia University. Newfield, Associate Professor, Emerita, began her career with the WVU School of Nursing in January 1990 to pursue her intellectual curiosity.
