WVU expands indoor mask requirement to all indoor campus spaces
West Virginia University is updating its mask guidelines. Beginning Monday, Sept. 13, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a mask indoors in all WVU System buildings and facilities through Oct. 6, when public health conditions will be reevaluated.

WVU Health System to require COVID-19 vaccine by Oct. 31 for those working in patient care
The West Virginia University Health System announced today that it will require all of its employees to be fully vaccinated with both doses of the two-dose series by Oct. 31, 2021. Those on the Health Sciences Campuses involved in patient care, including residents, fellows and students, are required to follow WVU Health System policies, including those related to COVID-19, such as masks, PPE and vaccinations.

WVU president welcomes students back to campus, urges cautious enthusiasm
West Virginia University President Gordon Gee welcomed students back to campus on the first day of class (Aug. 18) in a letter. Gee expressed his joy at the return to campus, but also urged balancing enthusiasm with “a measure of reality.”
