Team Wins Blue Ribbon for Research Poster at the AORN Global Surgical Conference & Expo

We are ecstatic to announce that our research team's poster titled Rounding with Teams: Evaluation of Interprofessional Collaborative Practice was not only accepted to and presented at the Association of Operating Room Nurses' (AORN) Global Surgical Conference & Expo, but that our poster was presented the Research Poster First Place Blue Ribbon out of more than 300 posters! The theme of the conference was "Harmonized Care, the Key to Safety", which aligned perfectly with our presentation. The poster presented findings from research investigating how well the Medical/Surgical interprofessional teams utilize IPCP during patient rounds, as well as how the patients' percieved their teamwork skills.

The gold and blue is contagious. The guy who gave me the tour told me he didn't even walk in his graduation ceremony. Instead, he spent his time in New Zealand. I was like, "Oh, that's pretty cool."

Meet our grads: Joseph Ellis

If it wasn’t enough that Joseph Ellis loved science and all things related, he also grew up admiring the care his grandmother expressed for people as a nurse.
