Junior Nursing Academy returns to WVU Tech’s campus this summer, applications close March 15
The Southern West Virginia Junior Nursing Academy, hosted by the WVU School of Nursing, will be Aug. 13-14. The day camp will be held on WVU Tech’s campus and give participants a sneak peek of what it might be like to be a college nursing student while giving them hands-on experiences. Applications are open now and will be accepted until March 15.
WVU Nursing alum selected for Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship Program
Lya Stroupe, a WVU School of Nursing alum, was one of 20 nurses in the country recently selected for the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship Program (JJNIF), where she and another exemplary person in the nursing profession, Dr. Melanie Heuston, work as a team to revitalize interest in bedside care in new generations of nurses.
WVU Nursing LPN to BSN program updates GPA requirements, extends application deadline
Licensed practical nurses interested in pursuing their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (LPN to BSN) at the WVU School of Nursing Keyser Campus now have expanded access to the program. To better meet prospective student needs, the GPA requirements for previous college work have been updated to 2.5. The program has also extended the application deadline to May 15.
