Why did you want to pursue a degree in nursing?
I wanted to pursue a degree in nursing because in the long run, I want to be a mom and I want to be able to help take care of people.
Why did you choose the Beckley Campus for nursing?
Honestly, I chose it very prayerfully. I was considering multiple different schools, but this is where I felt like the Lord really wanted me to be. This is where I grew up. I know a lot of the people here. I've been trying to start a lot of ministries on this campus, too, and so it's been really cool to kind of watch all of that progress.
What's the campus experience like?
The campus experience in Beckley is amazing. I know almost all of my classmates, if not all of them. It's a very close campus. Our farthest class is probably a five-minute walk. It's really nice to have that closeness.
It's awesome to be here. All the people here are so nice. I love my professors and I love my fellow students, too.
What are you most excited for in nursing school?
I'm most excited to actually get into the hospitals and actually help my patients.
What is your favorite part about your experience so far?
Honestly, all of it. I love every single thing about it. I love the skills lab. I love my professors. They're all amazing.
Why would you encourage someone to consider the Beckley Campus?
I would encourage them to come to the Beckley Campus just because of that closeness with your fellow students and your professors, because honestly, that has been the best part about college.
