Program Prerequisite Courses
Completion of the required prerequisite courses from any accredited college or university with a grade of C or better is needed for admission into the Nursing Program at WVU. The following courses should be completed prior to enrollment:
- English Composition (3 credits)
- Intro. to Psychology (3 credits)
- Intro. to Nursing (2 credits)
- College Algebra (3 credits)
- Chemistry with lab (8 credits)
- General Biology with lab (4 credits)
- Anatomy and Physiology (4 credits)
Statistics is in the freshman progression plan but is not a prerequisite for admission to sophomore year. Developmental Psyc. and Nutrition are no longer prerequisites and are taken in the sophomore year.
