Expedited Summer Pathway
The Expedited Summer Pathway offers Morgantown students accepted into our BSN program an opportunity to graduate nine months early by completing two summer semesters.
This pathway is currently available for BSN students admitted in fall only. Students must have already completed their freshman year of prerequisite coursework to apply. Participants remain eligible for the same financial aid and scholarship opportunities as the traditional pathway. Students who apply and are accepted into the pathway are expected to enroll as a full-time student for both summers. This includes the first semester of their junior year and the second semester of their senior year.

Q. Will my financial aid and scholarships apply to the summer term?
A. While the WVU Office of Financial Aid remains committed to processing financial aid and scholarships for the summer term, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the WVU Hub prior to beginning the summer term to ensure their aid and scholarships are processed. Q. Will I still be able to attend summer vacations?
A. Unfortunately, the summer term is full-time with in-person classes and clinical experiences. Like the traditional fall and spring semesters, students are expected to attend all classes and clinicals, and vacations remain unexcused absences.
Q. Will the tuition and fees for the summer term be the same?
A. Yes, the tuition and fees for the summer term will be the same as fall and spring
Q. Will I be able to keep my housing for the summer term?
A. Students are responsible for contacting their respective housing offices to extend their leases or make additional accommodations for the summer term.
Q. Is the summer term like fall and spring?
A. The summer term is only 12-weeks compared to the traditional 16-week semester. Although the courses and learning outcomes are the same, the content is provided at a faster pace and students can anticipate longer clinical days.
