WVU Nursing to host virtual open house for Fast-Track Nursing program March 21

The West Virginia University School of Nursing is hosting a spring 2023 Virtual Open House for the BS/BA to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program Tuesday, March 21 at 6 p.m.

The BS/BA to BSN program, also known as our fast-track program, is offered on the Morgantown and Bridgeport campuses. It is an accelerated program for college graduates who wish to become a registered nurse with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

“This Virtual Open House is geared toward students who have earned a bachelor’s degree in another field, or anyone in college who has almost completed a different degree, who are now considering a career in nursing,” said Recruitment Specialist Phillip Engelkemier.

During the event, attendees can hear from a panel of guests, including Dean Tara Hulsey, School of Nursing faculty and staff, as well as a student, all of whom can provide insight into the program, answer questions and address any concerns.

Specifically, attendees can learn more about the WVU School of Nursing and its campuses, the application process, what to expect in clinicals, and what to consider if they are nearing graduation.

“The open house will be a great event for anyone considering a career change to nursing but may not know where to begin,” Engelkemier said.
