All clinical experiences must be recorded in a clinical log, which includes verification of clinical hours at particular sites with specific preceptors and the student’s meeting of all MSN Essentials. At graduation, the student must have recorded all required clinical hours.
All students and organizations are expected and required to obey federal, state, and local laws, to comply with the WVU Board of Governors (BOG) policies, institutional or campus rules/regulations, University official directives, and observe appropriate standards of conduct.
This policy applies to all programs with clinical components, direct patient care provision, and/or handling prescription medication. Students are required by to undergo a urine drug screen prior to clinical experiences and must follow clinical facility policies and requirements.
Non-compliance with the Health Information and Credential Documentation policy is considered a violation of WVU SON Professional Standards.
