Meet Our Beckley & Keyser Ambassadors

Kelsea Daniels, of Fairdale, wanted to become an ambassador to grow as a student, as well as to support prospective nursing students.

"For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a nurse," Daniels said. "I feel as though that is my true calling in life. I love being able to help people however I can in their darkest hours."

After graduating, Daniels hopes to care for mothers and babies and eventually become a midwife.

Raynee Gonzalez, of Crab Orchard, wanted to become an ambassador to help students feel more comfortable and confident when joining the nursing program. 

"Starting college can be overwhelming, and I want to be someone they can turn to for guidance, encouragement, and support," Gonzalez said. "My best advice for high school students is to never be afraid to stand out or ask questions. There are no 'dumb questions' in nursing school, and asking questions is one of the best ways to learn and grow." 

Gonzalez chose nursing because she wants a career where she can help others and advocate for those who may not be able to for themselves. 

Morgan Pyles, of Augusta, is a student in the BSN program on the Keyser Campus. Her anticipated graduation date is May 2027.

"Helping people has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember and having the power and knowledge to help someone in some of the most vulnerable moments of their life drives me to continue helping other people and becoming a better nurse every day," Pyles said. 

She wanted to become an ambassador because she sees it as a way to give back to a program that has given so much to her. 

"I enjoy connecting with others, specifically prospective students, and I love to share my own experiences and help them feel more confident about choosing nursing because as a first-generation college student I understand there are a lot of unknowns going into a new chapter of life such as this one."
