Why do you want to be a nurse?
Growing up, I watched my mom dedicate her life to nursing, and it deeply influenced me. I saw firsthand how she provided comfort, care, and healing those in need. Her compassion and ability to make a difference in people’s lives resonated with me, sparking a desire to pursue a career where I could also help others. Witnessing her dedication and the impact she had on her patients instilled in me a profound respect for the nursing profession.
What does the Pledge Ceremony mean to you?
Participating in the pledge ceremony and receiving my nursing coat means stepping into a legacy of care and commitment. It’s a personal milestone that signifies the beginning of my professional journey, where I’ll dedicate myself to helping others with compassion and integrity. This ceremony is more than just a tradition, it’s a reminder of the responsibility I’m embracing, and it inspires me to uphold the values of nursing in every patient interaction.
Why did you choose WVU School of Nursing?
WVU School of Nursing is known for its strong programs, dedicated faculty, and excellent clinical opportunities, making it a great place to start a nursing career.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
After graduation, I hope to work in the NICU at WVU Hospitals to help children. It’s my goal to provide specialized care to newborns and support their families during critical times, making a meaningful impact in their lives.
