Meet Jada.
Why do you want to be a nurse?
I started college as an Exercise Physiology major due to my gymnastics background, which taught me to face my fears. Now coaching gymnastics is incredibly rewarding. Helping others reach their goals and reviving their gratitude is much more fulfilling. My father has always told me, “If it’s worth doing, it will be hard. If it's not hard, then it’s not worth doing.” This saying inspires me to push through challenges and support those in need.
What does the Pledge Ceremony mean to you?
The Pledge Ceremony represents my commitment to helping others. It’s a celebration of my growth and dedication to making a positive impact in people's lives.
Why did you choose WVU School of Nursing?
I chose the WVU School of Nursing because it was close to home and it means a lot to me to help the town that raised me.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
After graduation, I hope to work in an ICU where I can provide compassionate care to patients. I’m also considering going back to school to further my education.
Anything else you’d like to add.
Even though I have only been in the WVU School of Nursing for a couple months, I have found this program to be extremely helpful. Every instructor truly care about their students and wants them to succeed.
