Meet Logan.

Why do you want to become a nurse?
Honestly, I always wanted to be involved in the healthcare field in some capacity. I grew up with the dream of someday becoming a healthcare professional. After I completed my bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology here at WVU, I started working at Ruby Memorial Hospital as an EKG technician where I came to realize that I nurses were always the ones that were there at the front of taking care of people and after seeing all the different roles that they can have I realized that it was the career path that I wanted to pursue.
What does the Pledge Ceremony mean to you?
At first I never considered the weight that something like a pledge has, not just as a declaration before the people around you and before God to do only what is for the good of your patients and a promise of that dedication. And somehow that gives the whole thing that much more weight.
Why did you choose WVU School of Nursing?
I went to this university for my bachelors degree and fell in love with the town and the university there has never been anywhere else that I wanted to go.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
At this time, I would like to go into either the cardiac intensive care unit or into the emergency department. After some time working in either of those locations, I would like to go for more school and eventually become a NP.
Anything you would like to add.
To anyone that is thinking about coming back to school for their BSN, you can't go wrong with this program. The professors are all invested in you doing well and they are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet.
